I have updated the site to limit what posts can be seen by the public and what ones can only be seen by subscribers. If you notice to the left sidebar, there is a section called categories. These are pieces of data that identify what type of post any given post is. Currently, the categories are “Event”, “Notices”, “Public”, and “Uncategorized” (default value for a post). You’ll notice a little ‘lock’ icon next to categories that aren’t for public consumption. The only category viewable by the public is the “Public” category. A post so categorized will be visible to the public (regardless of any other categories associated with it).
In order to view a subscriber post, you must register with the site. Once registered, you still cannot see them until an Administrator (that would be me) updates your profile to be able to view them. When you register, I am automatically notified by e-mail. I will update the new profile to be able to view private posts once I determine that you are a Grassy Sounder (or a representitive of the VGSCA). This may take a day or two (I do try to have a life). So be patient.
When I approve you I also give you the ability to post to the site. When you post, again, I have to approve it before it is visible (either publicly or privately). The general rule about posts is that it should not have a public category if it discusses anything to do with VGSCA business or activities. I will enforce that rule when I review your post.

Welcome!

This is the new web-site, just for us Grassy Sounders. It uses blogging software from Wordpress so we will be able to post information about upcoming events. I will need to dress it up a bit with pictures from Grassy, but it’s up and running. Send comments about what you want to do with it.
